We’ve now held the second in a series of networking events for local teachers and STEM Ambassadors – the first was held in June at Heanor Gate Science College and in July at the University of Derby.

The aim of each event is to share ideas and good practice about activities that can enrich the STEM curriculum, as well as set up some links on existing and upcoming school projects.

Each event consists on an introduction to the STEM Ambassadors programme, speed networking and group work to identify ways in which schools and STEM Ambassadors can work together.

One STEM Ambassador said, “It was a great event, just what I needed.  It gave me the chance to find out directly from local teachers the ways I can get involved.”

Since attending the networking events, many of the schools have made requests for STEM Ambassador support and have been successfully linked with a STEM Ambassador.

To register for a future networking event please email ambassadors@debp.org and we’ll keep you informed of dates.
