Derbyshire Business Awards: Winners

The East Midlands Chamber Derbyshire Business Awards 2018, took place at Pride Park Stadium on Friday 7 September.  We were very proud to attend the evening as sponsor of the Education and Business Partnership Award.  The award recognised providers that engage effectively with business and how they help pupils develop crucial employability skills valued by employers.  It was a really strong category and the finalists were:

John O’Callaghan, DEBP Director took to the stage to present the award which was announced as Shirebrook Academy.  At the event, John said, “The judging was a very difficult task to undertake and the high quality of the applications made our task even more difficult.  It really demonstrated the great education business activity taking place across Derbyshire.  Shirebrook’s passion and willingness to engage with the wider community really stood out.”
