Raising Aspirations

Young people in Years 8 to 11 are identified as not reaching their potential and intensive support is provided to address the needs of each student. An employability worker supports each learner to identify interests, goals and experiences that will help them to raise their aspirations. The programme is underpinned by employer interactions. Wider focus groups are included in some of the opportunities.

This programme was originally developed and continues to be supported by Bolsover Partnership.

  • “The students involved were very happy to attend sessions and felt that they were benefiting. I would like to thank you for all your hard work in providing us with such a well planned, thought-out and delivered programme. It is not until you work with a number of providers simultaneously that you can really compare provision.”

  • "I attended a speed networking session where I spoke to students about my career journey.  The students were well informed and most had a really clear indication of what they wanted for their futures.  The students' confidence grew throughout the session which was encouraging to see."
