Raising Aspirations

Young people in Years 8 to 11 are identified as not reaching their potential. Intensive support is provided to address the needs of each student. An employability worker supports each learner to identify interests, goals and experiences that will help them in raising aspirations. The programme is underpinned by employer interactions. Wider focus groups are included in some of the opportunities.

This programme was originally developed and continues to be supported by Bolsover Partnership.

FEEDBACK
"I would say overall the improvements in the behaviour around school of the students is markedly improved, for some individuals I would describe it as transformative. The programme came with a clear structure but within this, the ability to be really bespoke for each student, it was very much adapted to meet the needs of individuals."
